Black had an audition in Sydney and won the role of Aeryn sun in "Farscape." Aeryn was a very watchable and captivating character as the series progressed, and she gained legions of devoted viewers. Following the end of the show, Black was cast in 2 seasons on Stargate SG-1 as Vala Doran. Additionally, she was working in voiceovers for TV movies, as well as games. Black played a appearance on "The Originals" in the series, was back on this series for the saga "Containment". The exotic-looking brunette Black could convey strength and sensual in her portrayal of Aeryn Sun on Farscape, (Sci-Fi Channel) between 1999 and 2003. Black was born in Sydney. She was the winner of"Scarlett's Globe" in Globe Shakespeare 1990 competition, and she also toured Europe in the role of Portia as "The Merchant of Venice."
